Choosing A Broker

Choosing a Broker:

Consider that the insurance buying process has many different and complex parts that must all fit together to develop a program and coverage package that works well for the client.  Similar to an orchestra that has many different instruments and musicians there must be a coordinator, or conductor, that can fit and direct each individual part to work together in perfect harmony.  Without that conductor, the music would not make sense and be difficult to listen to.  Any broker you choose needs to be “your conductor” who brings the different parts together to design an effective insurance program to meet your needs…to create that harmony and ease the process.  This is what we at Colonial Western do for our clients.

To accomplish this, your broker must:

  • Have access to all the major insurance carriers and provide you with “market reach” capability.
  • Be able to evaluate your needs through identification and analysis of exposures, develop and assist in the implementation of risk management strategies, present multiple and variable solutions, and evaluate the best coverages and carriers for you.
  • Be capable of providing high end service in the day to day management of your insurance program, with skilled professionals doing the work.
  • Lead the development of an effective customized program that will assist you in meeting your cost control objectives.
  • Be readily available to you when needed.
